INTRODUCTION- Republic Day is celebrated on 26th January of Each year. 26th January was an historical date in India because on 26 January 1930, Indian National Congress declared “Purna Swaraj” i.e Complete independence for India from British rule. On this day in the year of 1950, Our Indian constitution came into force And Dr. Rajendra Prasad took the oath of the President of India as India’s first president. He hoisted the National flag and gave a republic speech. The enforcement of the Indian constitution shows India’s freedom and the power of its people to make their own rules and regulate their country as per their choice. Doctor B.R Ambedkar Is called the father of the Indian constitution and he played the main role in the constitution of India.
Importance of 26th January
This day reminds us of the sacrifice of our ancestors and great leaders. It shows India’s cultural Diversity, Unity, democracy, and military strength by showing the
Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force‘s Weapons, tanks, and missiles. On this day, the brave soldiers of the armed forces are awarded by the president of India. People of India remember their freedom fighters by singing patriotic songs and Performing plays. The Indian Constitution highlights the democratic framework prescribed in it.

This is 76 the Republic Day of India and showing the national’s progress. The President of Indonesia, namely, Prabowo Subianto Was the chief guest on the occasion of Republic Day 2025. This day shows Strong diplomatic ties between two nations i.e. by sharing their culture and historical bones. “GOLDEN INDIA- HERITAGE AND DEVELOPMENT” was the theme for 26th January 2025. At KARTAVYA PATH in New Delhi this auspicious day is celebrated on every year. Many excited events used to perform like plays, cultural programmes, and colourful tableaux on Rajpath. This parade Starts at Rashtrapati Bhawan and Ends at Red Fort of India.
