WHAT IS CLAT?

Common-Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an all India common entrance test which is conducted by 19 different National Law Universities (NLUs) for admission to their Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree programs. CLAT 2020 is going to be held in the month of May 2020. The best part of the CLAT admission process is that there is no upper age limit to apply for the entrance test. CLAT is a computer-based test which consists of MCQ type questions. The score of CLAT 2020 is valid and accepted by all the 19 NLUs and the institution with Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

WHAT IS CLAT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA?

The admission criteria depend upon the course for which the candidate is seeking admission for. If a candidate wants to get admission in undergraduate courses he/she needs to have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam scoring 45% marks in aggregate however SC and ST candidates need only 40% marks to be eligible. Also, there is no upper limit criteria for appearing for either course.

HOW TO FILL UP THE CLAT ADMISSION FORM?

Candidates who are looking forward to getting admission in undergraduate and postgraduate law courses offered by the participating NLUs have to fill the application form of CLAT 2020, which will be online medium and would be released on January 2020.

The last date to fill the applying type of CLAT is tentatively the third week of April.

Candidates must note that the application for UG and PG courses in the same; no separate application forms will be released for UG and PG courses.

In such cases wherever the candidate fills quite one form, only the last one will be considered.

WHAT IS CLAT EXAM PATTERN?

CLAT exam pattern, CLAT 2020 exam will be conducted in offline mode and will include multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in case of UG courses. However, the question paper for postgraduate (PG) courses will consist of both objective and subjective type questions. Another important detail highlighted by the CLAT 2020 exam pattern is for an incorrect attempt, ie negative marking. Please note 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong objective type question attempt. The candidates will be given OMR sheets, where answers have to be entered by encircling the correct option.

WHAT IS THE SYLLABUS OF CLAT 2020?

WHAT IS THE CLAT CUT-OFF MARKS 2020?

To get admission into a collaborating NLU, the candidate needs to meet the CLAT 2020 cutoff for the specific institute and the category they belong to.

Also, the cutoff of CLAT 2020 would differ for state quota seats and people beneath All Asian country class.

The CLAT cutoff 2020 is usually the last rank (or score) for which admission is offered.

So, any candidate World Health Organization scores below the CLAT 2020 cutoff determined for his or her class and institute applied for admission, such candidate won’t get admission.

WHEN THE RESULTS WILL BE OUT?

NUSRL, Ranchi, which is the exam conducting body for 2020, will declare the result of CLAT 2020 (tentatively) in the second week of June. Candidate can check CLAT 2020 results online by logging into the result portal by entering one’s application or registration number and date of birth. Important details like the qualifying status of the candidate, marks and rank obtained in the exam will be displayed in the CLAT result after you log in.
