• Constitutional Provisions Related to Custody in India:-

 Article 20: Grants protection against arbitrary and excessive punishment to an accused person, whether a citizen or foreigner or legal person like a company or a corporation

 Article 21: No individual will be denied of his life or individual freedom with the exception of as per strategy set up by law.

 Article 22: Guarantees protection against arrest and detention in certain cases and provides that no person who is arrested shall be detained in custody without being informed of the grounds of such arrest.

Unemployment has decreased sharpest in Haryana: Annual Periodic Labour Force Survey.

• Haryana recorded the most significant reduction, with its unemployment rate dropping from 9.2% to 3.4%.

• Tamil Nadu and Chhattisgarh also saw substantial declines in unemployment rates, ranking second and third respectively.

• Madhya Pradesh boasts the lowest unemployment rate in India, with figures below 1%.

• Goa has the highest unemployment rate among states at 8.5%, followed closely by Kerala at 7.2% and Nagaland at 7.1%.

• Lakshadweep leads among Union Territories with an unemployment rate of 11.9%.

• The national average worker-population ratio (WPR) is currently 38.7%.

• The overall improvement reflects a significant recovery in the job market across various states.

Delhi Government Increases Minimum Wages for Workers

• The Delhi government has announced an increase in minimum wages for unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled workers.

• Chief Minister Atishi, who recently took office, aims to provide relief from inflation ahead of the festive season.

• Unskilled workers will see their minimum wage rise from ₹17,494 to ₹18,066.

• Semi-skilled workers' wages will increase from ₹19,279 to ₹19,929.
