Nepal Tourism Board Receives PATA Gold Award for Sustainable Tourism

• Nepal Tourism Board NTB's STLRP earned a PATA Gold Award for promoting livelihood recovery through sustainable tourism.

• NTB's STLRP has previously won the PATA Gold Award in 2022 for its work in Tourism Destination Resilience.

• This is NTB's third PATA award, having been recognized for community-based tourism projects.

• The project has made significant contributions to job creation and sustainable tourism across all of Nepal's provinces.

• NTB was awarded the PATA Gold Award in 2023 for its efforts in women’s empowerment through tourism.

• The project focuses on social responsibility, sustainability, and women’s empowerment.

• The recent award highlights NTB's consistent achievements in enhancing sustainable tourism development.

• NTB's STLRP has consistently received recognition from PATA for its impactful tourism initiatives since 2022.

50 Teachers Selected for National Teacher Award 2024 by Education Department and Literacy

• On 5th September 2024, the National Teacher Awards will be presented to 50 educators across India.

• The selection process for the National Teacher Awards involved a three-stage, transparent, and online evaluation at district, state, and national levels.

• These 50 teachers represent 28 states, 3 union territories, and 6 organizations.

• The awardees include 34 men, 16 women, 2 Divyangs, and 1 teacher working with children with special needs (CWSN).

• The National Teacher Awards are organized annually by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, on Teachers' Day.

• The awards ceremony will take place at Vigyan Bhavan on 5th September 2024.

• Additionally, 16 teachers from the Higher Education Department and 16 from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship will be honored.

• In total, 82 teachers will be recognized for their contributions to education in this year's ceremony.

• The awards celebrate teachers who have made a significant positive impact on students' lives through their dedication and excellence in education.
