HAL renamed the HJT-36 jet trainer as ‘Yashas’.

• Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has rebranded its HJT-36 jet trainer as ‘Yashas’.

• The 'Yashas' is designed for Stage II pilot training and is capable of counter-insurgency, counter-surface force operations, armament training, and aerobatics.

• Powered by a FADEC-controlled AL-55I jet engine, 'Yashas' boasts an impressive thrust-to-weight ratio.

• The aircraft was unveiled at Aero India 2025 in Bengaluru.

• For its induction, the aircraft has been upgraded with advanced avionics and a cutting-edge cockpit.

Para Archery Asia Cup 2025

• India topped the 2025 Para Archery Asia Cup in Thailand, clinching 6 gold medals.

• Overall, India secured 12 medals, including 6 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze.

• On the final day, India bagged six medals, including two golds.

• Sarita won the gold in the women’s compound open, while Shyam Sundar Swami claimed gold in the men’s compound open.

• The competition took place in Thailand from February 2 to 11, 2025.

India Co-hosts Third Edition of AI Action Summit in Paris

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi co-chaired the ‘AI Action Summit’ in Paris on February 11, 2025, alongside French President Emmanuel Macron.

• France and India co-hosted the third International Summit on Artificial Intelligence, held on February 10-11, 2025.

• At the Summit’s conclusion, France announced that India will host the next International AI Summit.

• The event saw participation from global leaders, including US Vice-President JD Vance, Chinese Vice-Premier Zhang Guoqing, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, and CEOs of major tech companies like Google and Microsoft.

• Prime Minister Modi is currently on a two-nation tour, first visiting France (Feb 10-12) at the invitation of President Macron, before heading to the United States for a two-day visit with President Donald Trump.

International Conference on Unani Day inaugurated by President Murmu

• On February 11, 2025, President Droupadi Murmu officially launched the two-day International Conference titled "Innovations in Unani Medicine for Integrative Health Solutions – A Way Forward" in New Delhi.

• The conference, held on February 11-12, 2025, was organised in celebration of Unani Day.

• Union Minister of State for Ayush, Prataprao Jadhav, and Dr. N Zaheer Ahmed, Director General of CCRUM, were also present during the inauguration.

• The event is being hosted by the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), under the Union Ministry of Ayush.

• Delegates from both India and abroad, including experts from the USA, Iran, South Africa, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, and the UAE, are attending the conference.

• Unani Day is observed every year on February 11 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Hakim Ajmal Khan, a renowned freedom fighter, Unani physician, and educator.
