'Saushrutam 2024' successfully organised by All India Institute of Ayurveda
• The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) successfully organized 'Saushrutam 2024,' featuring live surgical demonstrations.
• The 2nd National Seminar, Saushrutam Shalya Sammelan, was held by AIIA's Department of Shalya Tantra in New Delhi, coinciding with Sushruta Jayanti-2024.
• Sushruta Jayanti is celebrated annually on July 15th to honor Sushruta, the father of surgery; the seminar ran from July 13th to 15th.
• The inaugural ceremony's chief guest was Professor Sandeep Kumar, Founding Director of AIIMS Bhopal.
• Over the first two days, 25 complex surgical procedures were conducted successfully.
• Participants had the chance to observe and learn from live demonstrations of various surgical techniques by expert surgeons, addressing conditions like Fistula-in-Ano, Piles, Pilonidal Sinus, Gallstones, and Hernia.
• In the past year, around 1500 patients have benefitted from the surgical procedures at AIIA.
New Delhi hosts the World Heritage Young Professionals Forum
• The 2024 World Heritage Young Professionals Forum began in New Delhi on 15 July 2024.
• This forum is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee Meeting.
• New Delhi will host the 46th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee from 21 to 31 July 2024.
• The forum will see participation from 50 young heritage professionals, including 20 from India and 30 from other countries.

• The institute is part of the Archaeological Survey of India.
• The Archaeological Survey of India operates under the Union Ministry of Culture.
• The World Heritage Young Professionals Forum will take place from 14-23 July in New Delhi.
