• His Slovenian Democratic Party formed the 16th government of Slovenia.
• The Slovenian Parliament approved his nomination by a vote of 51 in favour and 36 against.
• He succeeded Robert Golob as Prime Minister.
• Golob's Freedom Movement moved into the opposition after the change in government.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru Win IPL 2026 Title
• Royal Challengers Bengaluru won the IPL 2026 title by defeating Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets in the final.
• The final was played at Narendra Modi Stadium.
• After winning the toss, RCB elected to bowl first.
• Gujarat Titans were restricted to 155/8 in 20 overs.

Nausena Shaurya Vatika Inaugurated in Lucknow
• Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath jointly inaugurated Nausena Shaurya Vatika in Lucknow.
• It is an open-air naval museum and interpretation centre showcasing the heritage, achievements and operational capabilities of the Indian Navy.
• The museum is located in Lucknow and has been developed at a cost of about ₹19 crore over an area of more than two acres.
• It has been developed as Phase-II of Nausena Shaurya Sangrahalaya, the Indian Navy’s memorial museum project.
• The project was jointly developed by the Indian Navy and the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
• The Vatika displays artefacts and weapon systems of INS Gomati, which was decommissioned on 29 May 2022 after 34 years of service.
• Major exhibits include AK-726 naval gun, ZIF-101 missile launcher, anti-ship missiles, surface-to-air missiles, radar systems, torpedo launchers, anchors and ship masts.
• A special attraction is the Walkthrough Museum of TU-142M, a long-range maritime patrol aircraft formerly operated by the Indian Navy.
