Justice M. Sundar Appointed as Chief Justice of Manipur High Court
• Justice M. Sundar has officially taken oath as the 10th Chief Justice of the Manipur High Court.
• The swearing-in ceremony took place at Raj Bhavan in Imphal, administered by Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla.
• His appointment follows the retirement of former Chief Justice Kempaiah Somashekar.
• The Supreme Court collegium recommended Justice Sundar’s elevation to the top post.
• A native of Chennai, he completed his law degree from Madras Law College.
• Enrolled as an advocate in 1989, he primarily practiced at the Madras High Court.
• Appointed a permanent judge of the Madras High Court in 2016, he later served as its second senior-most judge before his Manipur posting.

Central Zone Clinches 7th Duleep Trophy Title After 11-Year Gap
• Central Zone, under the leadership of Rajat Patidar, won the 62nd Duleep Trophy by defeating South Zone in a gripping final.
• The win marked Central Zone’s seventh Duleep Trophy title and their first triumph since 2014.
• Central posted a commanding first-innings score of 511, which proved decisive despite South’s strong second-innings fightback of 426.
• South Zone had earlier collapsed for just 149 in their first innings, giving Central a crucial edge.
• Chasing 65 runs in the fourth innings, Central secured victory with six wickets in hand.
• Rajat Patidar topped the tournament run charts with 382 runs, playing a key role in his team’s success.
• All-rounder Saransh Jain was named Player of the Tournament for his 16 wickets and valuable 136 runs.

Key Outcomes of the 13th India-UAE Joint Task Force on Investments – September 2025
• The 13th meeting took place in Abu Dhabi on 18 September 2025, co-chaired by ADIA’s Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and India’s Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal.
• Officials from both nations' governments, investment bodies, and businesses participated to review and advance bilateral economic cooperation.
• Formed in 2013, the Task Force aims to deepen strategic investment ties and unlock new opportunities between India and the UAE.
• The meeting emphasized boosting bilateral investments and identifying emerging sectors for future partnerships.
• Trade has seen significant growth under the CEPA, with non-oil trade hitting $38 billion in H1 2025—a 34% jump over the same period last year.
